Carl Neal Newcomb

Mr. Carl Neal Newcomb of 2201 Buckshoal Road, Virgilina, VA died Monday, November 12, 2012 at the age of 64. He was born in Halifax County, VA on May 18, 1948 to the late John Edward Newcomb and the late Ruth Travis Newcomb. Survivors include a sister, Dorlores Moore and husband A.C. of Georgia; one brother, Bruce Newcomb and wife Gyretta, of South Boston, VA; by three grandchildren, Dakota Williams, Lane Neal Bridges, and Hunter Dale Bridges; and by a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Bridges. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at 2 pm at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at his home, 2201 Buckshoal Road, Virgilina, VA, after the services.
