Carole Pittman Barwick

Mrs. Carole Pittman Barwick of Buffalo Junction went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the age of 78. She was born in Durham, NC on October 28, 1943 to the late Clarence Woodberry Pittman and Christine Capps Pittman. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Reverend Rodney Walter Barwick.

Carole was a graduate of Hoke County High School Class of 1961. She was the comptroller of Applewood Communications since 1991 and was previously retired from Ramsey Construction. She was a talented seamstress, loved bowling, golfing and cornhole and was an excellent cook. Carole was a dedicated pastor's wife and choir director for 39 years. She loved her Lord and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney; daughters, Terri Horne of Raeford, NC, Rhonda Fann (Donnie) of Dunn, NC and Vikki Childress of Jacksonville, NC; son, James Anthony Clark (Deborah) of Chase City; sisters, Patricia Lee of Houston, TX and Barbara Douglass of Memphis, TN; brothers, Clarence Pittman and John R. Pittman, both of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel with the Reverend Jane Lyon and the Reverend Jimmy Garland officiating. Burial will follow in Pittman Family Cemetery at 4:00 PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home and other times at the home.
