Carolyn Crenshaw Link

Mrs. Carolyn Crenshaw Link of Alton died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the age of 69. She was born in Halifax Co. on May 8, 1940 to the late Odell and Irene Thaxton Crenshaw and was married to Emmitt Link. Mrs. Link was a homemaker and was a member of Centerville Baptist Church. Mrs. Link is survived by her husband; two daughters, Teresa Arrington & husband, Earl of South Boston and Charlene Rimmer & husband, Todd of Durham, NC; a son, Donald Link, Sr. of South Boston; a sister, Hilda Rimmer & husband, Noel of Alton; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; a special nephew, Jody Wilborn & wife, Mary, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Centerville Baptist Church with Rev. Todd McClure and Rev. Donald Link, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Centerville Baptist Church and at other times at the home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Centerville Baptist Church, 3200 Halifax Rd., South Boston, VA 24592.
