Carolyn Sipes Smith

Carolyn Sipes Smith, 59, passed away Tuesday, August 06, 2013 at her home. She was born May 20, 1954 to the late Elton Price and Dorothy Shepherd Sipes Trent. Carolyn was employed with Burlington Industries for 26 years before going to Jones Apparel for 9 years, where she was a Shipping Clerk. Funeral services will be 2PM Thursday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with interment following at Nelson Baptist Church. Carolyn is survived by her children, Janet Middleton of Chase City and Robert Furman Middleton, Jr. and his wife Jeanie of Grassy Creek, NC; sisters, Ella Sue Dunn of Oxford, NC and Lorene Estep of North Wilkesboro, NC and brothers, John C. Price and Gwyn Allen Sipes, both of Skipwith and Chester H. Price of Clover. His grandchildren, Christopher and Octavia Clayton and Jacob Middleton and two great grandchildren also survive. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9pm Wednesday.
