Carolyn Jean Shearin

Carolyn Jean Shearin, 60, died Friday, October 23, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston. The daughter of Willie Gray and Lena Harris Shearin, Carolyn graduated from Bluestone High School and had worked in Food Service Management and Hotel/Motel Management. Graveside services will be 2PM Monday at Hitesburg Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jeaux Simmons officiating. Carolyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doran and Renee Overbey of Hitesburg; daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Ray Tussey of Winston-Salem, NC and 6 grandchildren. Her sister, Linda Shearin of Clarksville and brother, Wayne Shearin of Chase City also survive. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Marcella Overbey.
