Carolyn Rogers Wilkerson

Boydton, VA - Carolyn Rogers Wilkerson, 69, died on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones.She was born in Henderson, NC on February 22, 1947 to the late James Madison and Katherine Clark Rogers.Carolyn was a retired Administrative Specialist from the Mecklenburg Correctional Center.She was a member of Fields United Methodist Church.Carolyn deeply loved her family and friends especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilkerson was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Earl Wilkerson and her sister, Alice Wilkerson.She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Karen and Danny Cagle, her son and his wife, Tony and Amy Wilkerson, and grandchildren, Madyson Wilkerson, Blake Wilkerson and Isabel Wilkerson.Also surviving are brother and his wife, James “Jimmy” and Helen Rogers, sisters and their husbands, Janice Colgate, Deborah and Curtis Clark, Tracey and Mark Moody, brother-in-law Charles Wilkerson and her nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 7 – 8:30 pm at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Ave., Clarksville, VA.Services for Mrs. Wilkerson will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 2:00 pm at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with burial to follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.The Reverend Larry Davis will be officiating.Carolyn’s family extends a special thanks to the many earthly angels who have loved and helped care for her during her illness.In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Mecklenburg County Cancer Association, P.O.
