Carolyn Talley Womack

Mrs. Carolyn Talley Womack of South Boston died Monday, May 10, 2010 at the age of 65. Mrs. Talley was born in Halifax County on December 18, 1944 to Lawrence Raymond "Pop" Talley and the late Doris Watts Talley. She was a bookkeeper at Citizen Bank and was a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church. Survivors include her father, of Alton; two brothers, Lawrence Wayland Talley & wife, Nell of Alton and Kenneth Owen Talley & wife, Jeanne of Strasburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, & great nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Halifax Memorial Gardens with Rev. Raymond Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of Wayland & Nell Talley, 1194 Snow Hill Rd., Alton.
