Carter Owen Boyd

SUTHERLIN, VA Mr. Carter Owen Boyd of Sutherlin, VA died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the age of 72. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on March 10, 1944 the son of the late Walter Swann Boyd and the late Inez Carter Boyd and was married to Rebecca Sue Boyd. Carter was a jack of all trades who enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and the ocean. Mr. Boyd is survived by his wife; daughter, Kim Conner and husband, Jeff ; son, Jeremy Newton and wife, Kelly; daughter, Angela Smith and husband, Chris; sister, Jackie Hackney and husband, William; brother, Jerry Boyd; and eight grandchildren.
