Catherine "Cathy" Crocker Whitlow

Mrs. Catherine "Cathy" Crocker Whitlow of 1225 Hardings Mill Rd., Nathalie, VA died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at her home at the age of 52. She was born in Washington, DC on February 16, 1959 to the late George Amber Crocker and the late Goldie Hutchinson Crocker and was married to Bobby O. "Bobcat" Whitlow. Mrs. Whitlow was co-owner of Bobcat's Bait & Tackle. She was a member of Clover Baptist Church where she was a Choir member, Sunday School teacher, and co-director of CARE Ministry program and Operation Christmas Child. Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Bobby O. Whitlow, II of Nathalie, VA; two daughters, Jennifer Whitlow of Halifax, VA and Caitlyn Whitlow of Blacksburg, VA; a sister, Barbara Saxon and husband, Ken of San Antonio, TX; a sister-in-law, Jane Whitlow of Chase City, VA; an Aunt, Madeline Snead of Ashland, VA; a niece, Amber Gabbard; three nephews, Dana Schneider, Brian Schneider, and Terry Gabbard; special caregiver and friend, Penny Powell; close family friends, Jay Cole and son, John, Elizabeth Wooding and daughter, Stephanie Grace Elliott, and Edmund Murray; special friends, Kathy Moss, Rita Griles,Faye Kean, Linda Puryear, Ethel Everhart, Kathy Martin, and Jessica Whitlow; and a special pet, Abby. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Judy Schneider and Bettie Fisher. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Clover Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Moore and Rev. Tom Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clover Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home.
