Cathleen Diana Snead

Buffalo Junction, VA - Cathleen Diana Snead went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the age of 61. She was born in Halifax County on December 15, 1956 to late Lonnie and Lillian Hazlewood Snead. Prior to her illness, Cathleen was employed at D-Scan. She will be lovingly remembered as a strong, compassionate woman who loved her family, especially the children. She could never pass up the opportunity to hold the babies. Cathleen was a lifelong racing fan and she loved to sing and cook. Cathleen is survived by her fiancé, Steve Blanks of the home; daughter Lisa Snead (Carl Robbins) of Keysville; grandchildren Christina Clay (Tony Powell) of Saxe, Christopher Clay, Mark Clay, Shane Robbins, and Mason Robbins, all of Keysville; brothers Bobby Snead (Susan) of Clover and Larry Snead (Wanda) of Scottsburg; brother-in-law David Conner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Conner and a special nephew, Van Owen. Funeral services for Cathleen Snead will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Ave., Clarksville, VA 23927 with burial to follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Larry Propst will officiate. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.wclfh.com.
