Cathryn Leigh Franklin

SCOTTSBURG Miss Cathryn Leigh Franklin of Scottsburg, VA passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the age of 24.Born on March 28, 1995, she was the daughter of Paula Lyons Franklin and the late Anthony “Tony” David Franklin. She is survived by her mother, Paula Lyons Franklin and husband, Nathaniel Fries; paternal grandparents, David and Priscilla Franklin; aunts, Linda Lyons, Sandy Lyons and Amanda Franklin Penzer and husband, Chris; uncle, David Lyons and wife, King; birth mother, MaryJo Hilliard; sister, Jamie Hilliard and brother, Joseph Gowens and numerous other family and friends. In addition to her father, “Tony” Franklin she was preceded in death by her daughter, Toni Leigh Franklin; maternal grandmother and step grandfather, Evelyn and Muriel Medley; and maternal grandfather, Paul Lyons. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Brooks Lyon Betty B. Jones Chapel. Interment will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.
