Charles Wilson Blanks

Clarksville, VA Charles “Bill” Wilson Blanks, Jr., age 91, completed his earthly journey and left to be with God on Sunday, March 31, 2019. He was born in Mecklenburg County on July 13, 1928 to the late Charles Wilson Blanks, Sr. and Lucille Hudson Blanks. Bill was a graduate of the Clarksville High School 1945 class and spent a brief time with the US Army.Following this, he worked with Burlington Industries as a machinist for 28 years.Beyond being committed to his family, Bill was committed to his Lord, serving as Deacon and faithful member at Clarksville Baptist Church. Bill is survived by his wife of 68 blessed years, Mary Ann Garrett Blanks. He is further survived by his son Charles Jay Blanks (Teresa) of Buffalo Junction, VA; and his two grandsons, Todd Blanks of Raleigh, NC, and Phillip Blanks of Buffalo Junction, VA. A memorial service honoring Bill will be held in Oakhurst Cemetery at 2pm on Tuesday, April 02, 2019.The family will receive friends and loved ones in fellowship at Clarksville Baptist Church following burial.
