Charles Samuel Fox

Charles “Bill” Samuel Fox of Skipwith, VA, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, at the age of 91. Born in Mecklenburg County on May 30, 1931, he was the son of the late Lish O. Fox and Mary Louise Parham Fox and was married to the late Ina Ruth Spivey Fox. Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force and saw service during the Korean War. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 79. Bill retired from Burlington Industries where he worked as the Shipping and Receiving Department manager. He was an avid ham radio operator. Bill was a member of Easters United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Kay Myrick (R.J.) of Littleton, NC; son, Larry James Harris (Pam) of Ocean Isle, NC; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and great nieces. In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Reamey. The family would like to offer their appreciation to Pauline Wilkins and her team of devoted caregivers. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 13 at the Eternity Mausoleum in Oakhurst Cemetery. The Reverend Randy Martin will officiate the service. The family will receive friends before the service at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home from 2 – 3:00 P.M.
