Charles David Mckee

Charles David McKee, CPA/PFS, 70, passed away on July 20, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. David was born in Louisville, KY on January 31, 1942 to parents Allen Archer McKee and Lauree Basil. David was a Certified Public Accountant, owned McKee CPA Office and served the community of Clarksville for many years as a Personal Financial Specialist. David studied and graduated from Indiana University and loved being a "Hoosier" fan. David was very proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He and his family moved to Clarksville from Cary, NC where he had a CPA practice for over twenty years. He was also an active member of Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church. David is survived by his wife Susan Triplett McKee and daughter Savannah Leigh-Hope McKee of the home. He is also survived by two other daughters, Gina Miga and Richard of Kernersville, NC, Sherea Mayer of Virginia Beach, by two sons Wesley Sink of Austin, TX and Charles David McKee, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH. David is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law Nancy Johnston and Jerry of Anchorage, KY and Laurie McKee-Steckler and Larry of Poway, CA and his brother and sister-in-law Chet McKee and Ruth of Asheville, NC. Also surviving David is his mother-in-law and father-in-law Marti and Harry Angel of Winston-Salem, NC and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill and Kim Triplett of Summerfield, NC. David enjoyed spending time with and being known as Granddaddy to Ian, Chase, Blakely, Bella and Reese and an Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on July 29, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel led by the Reverend Dale Gillis. Friends and family are invited to attend a reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations to be made to the Clarksville Community Players, payable to FACP Fine Arts Center Preservation, P.O. Box 8141, Clarksville, Va. 23927
