Mr. Charles Marvin Quicke, 90, widower of Ruby Wilson Quicke, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at MeadowView Terrace in Clarksville. A native of White Sulpher Springs, WVA, he was the son of the late Charles Emmit and Lillie Amelia Hewitt Quicke. A U.S. Army World War II veteran, Mr. Quicke worked with Capital Airlines in D.C. and was employed at Harry Diamond Laboratories for 15 years. He was a member of First Christian Church in Alexandria, where he was a deacon and a member of the Masonic Lodge. After moving to Clarksville, he joined First Baptist Church in Chase City. An avid photographer and golfer, Mr. Quicke was a loving and caring Husband, Father and Grandfather. Funeral services will be 1PM Thursday, March 25, 2010 at First Baptist Church with the Reverends Brandon Ives and Gene Burris officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery in Clarksville. Mr. Quicke is survived by his daughters, Janice Moore of Chase City; Joy Denise Hardage of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Amy, Chris, Tiffany, and Joy; and great grandchildren, Colin Hardage and Jack and Charlie Duerr. His brother, Donald T. Quicke also survives him. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Jo and Dana. The family will receive friends 12-1Pm at First Baptist Church, Chase City, VA.
