Charles William Thomas

CLARKSVILLE – Mr. Charles William Thomas, husband of the late Barbara Ricker Thomas, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the age of 92. He was born on June 22, 1928, in Lewistown, PA to the late Charles Earl and Flora Rake Thomas. Charles began his career in the United States Navy. After the Navy, he worked for more than 20 years with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). In all, he and his family lived in Virginia Beach for 30 years before moving to Clarksville. Charles was a member of the Moose Lodge and volunteered at Camp Concord. In his free time, he loved to fish. Charles Thomas is survived by a daughter and her husband, Vicky and Darnell Kennedy of Bracey, as well as a son and his wife, David and Ashley Thomas of Clarksburg, WV. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Thomas. Funeral services will be held at Buffalo Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Chet Bergeron officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
