Charles Philip Williams

Mr. Charles Philip Williams of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the age of 80. He was born in Rockingham Co., NC on August 21, 1937 to the late Versa W. Williams and the late Louise Bradsher Williams. Charles was a draftsman for the city of Greensboro, NC and a veteran of the National Guard. He loved to farm and to plant and grow his garden. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 50 plus years, Carolyn Norwood Williams; and three sisters, Nancy Bradley, Ruth Lemons, and Linda Anderson. He was predeceased by his three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Rodney Barwick and David Pate officiating. Burial will follow in Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home on Friday beginning one hour prior to the service.
