Charlie Samuel Overby

Charlie Samuel Overby of Virgilina, VA, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at the age of 47. Born in Halifax County on August 1, 1976, he is the son of Lynn and Annie Sue Keeton Overby. He will be remembered as a beloved son, brother and uncle that was outgoing, friendly, and full of humor. Charlie was a member at Hitesburg Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Charlie is survived by two brothers, Darrell Overby (Vicki) and Wade Overby; nieces, Carissa Overby, Jade Overby and Haley Overby; great nephew, Kyng Overby and his good friend, Doran Overbey. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Willie B. and Charlie Overby and maternal grandparents, Hurley and Janie Keeton.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 17 at Hitesburg Baptist Church with the Reverend Ian Rigney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive family and friends on Thursday evening from 6 - 7:30 P.M. at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
