Charlie James "C.J." Phillips

Charlie James “C.J.” Phillips, Jr. of 1240 Phillips Trail, Virgilina, VA died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the age of 17. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on September 11, 1996 to Charlie James Phillips, Sr. and Sandra Jones Phillips. He attended Union Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing softball with his friends. He was planning to attend Danville Community College in the fall in their electrical program. Survivors include his parents; three sisters, Amanda Charlene Phillips and boyfriend, Adam Lewis, Diana Phillips Crowder and husband, Hal, and Tina Phillips Radosta and husband, Dino; maternal grandmother, Mary Frances Caudle; nieces and nephews, Kali Watkins, Abby and Peyton Crowder, Austin, Phillip, and Carter Radosta; and a number of very special friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in Hitesburg Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Grace Baptist Church on Friday from 12 noon until 2:00 PM and at other times at the home, 1240 Phillips Trail, Virgilina, VA.
