Charlotte Jean Mccormick

Mrs. Charlotte Jean McCormick, wife of the late David L. McCormick, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019, at the age of 70.She was born in Halifax County on November 16, 1949, the daughter of the late Howard Taft Clark and the late Sarah Conner Clark. She deeply loved her family and spending time with them was what she lived for. Until her health prevented her from doing so, she attended Black Walnut Baptist Church. Mrs. McCormick is survived by her daughter, Helen Hudgins (Chris); son, Jason McCormick (Mitzi); grandsons, Christopher Hudgins, Trevor Riddle and Preston Riddle; nieces and nephews, Gina Vaughan Faragher and her children, Patrick and Sara Faragher, Rhonda Tucker (Steve) and their children Daniel and Jarrett, and Nichole Emerson and her son, Nathan Cordell, as well as a host of other family members. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Emerson and her brother, Richard Atkins. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019, at 2:00 PM at the McCormick Family Cemetery located at 2236 Clays Mill School Road, Scottsburg, VAwith the Reverend Billy Hedrick officiating.
