Charlotte Ellen Pittard

Miss Charlotte Ellen Pittard, 80, died January 18, 2005 at her home. Daughter of the late Clarence Elam and Lottie Mae Johnson Pittard, Charlotte graduated from Clarksville High School with the class of 1941. She continued her education at Johnston Willis School of Nursing and practiced that profession from 1944 to 1963. Her career span included tours of duty at John Hopkins, Johnston Willis and Sheltering Arms. She then returned home to care for her parents. Funeral services will be 2PM Friday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Dan Tilley officiating. Burial will be in Oakhurst Cemetery. Miss Pittard is survived by her sisters, Clara P. Whitley of Midlothian and Mary Lee Nash of Blackstone; her brother, Clarence Louis Pittard of Midlothian; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Emma Mae Vaughan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to Buffalo Baptist Church.
