Charlotte Ford Younger

SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Charlotte Ford Younger passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 at the age of 80.She was born in Halifax County on October 2, 1939, the daughter of the late Robert Crowder Ford, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Cole Ford and was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Randolph Younger, Sr. Charlotte was a dedicated member of Black Walnut Baptist Church where she was actively involved with the WMU Willing Hearts group and many other church activities. She was also a member of the Cluster Springs Volunteer Fire Dept Auxiliary group. Charlotte loved life and lived it to the fullest. She is survived by a son, Franklin Randolph Younger, Jr and Cheryl; grandson, Andrew Thomas Younger; great grandson, Jake Michael Younger; brothers, Robert Crowder “Bob” Ford, Jr and wife, Brenda, and Jerry Ford and wife, Nancy; aunt, Frances Chaney and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Black Walnut Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Zak Ford officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home. The family requests those wishing to give memorials to please consider a charity of your choice.
