Cheryl Wilson Deal

VIRGILINA,VA - Cheryl Ann Wilson Deal gained her wings and joined God’s heavenly kingdom on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Born in Halifax County on July 21, 1959, she was the daughter of Linda Church Saunders and the late A.G. Wilson. Cheryl was a hard-working, selfless, God-fearing woman and a member of Florence Avenue Baptist Church. She was an amazing single-mother to five children. For fifteen years, she was the manager of Blue Ridge Tobacco & Candles. She is survived by her children, Tonya Ann Irby, Charles Wayne Irby, Jr., Joshua Larry Deal, Elizabeth Ann Deal and Ashley Denise Deal; sister, Wendy Brooks; brother, Sammy Wilson; nieces and nephews, Anna Brooks, Karington Brooks and Greg Wilson. She was preceded in death by her father, A.G. Wilson and brother, Douglas Wright Wilson. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 5:00 PM at Florence Avenue Baptist Church in Virgilina with Reverend Herbert Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 4:00-5:00 PM.
