Chester Millard Hazelwood, Jr.

Chester Millard Hazelwood, Jr. went to be with the Lord and joined his wife on Thursday, November 17, 2022. He was born in Halifax County on July 6, 1940 to the late Chester M. Hazelwood, Sr and Sibyl Foster Hazelwood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Kinsler Hazelwood.

Chester was retired from ABB and was a veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by his sons, Greg Hazelwood of Halifax and Daryl Hazelwood (Nancy) of Wake Forest, NC; grandsons, Roman and Kaleb; sister, Anne H. Hunt; nieces, Angela Hazelwood (Bryant), Lesley Reaves (Daryl) and Staci McNichols (Chris); sister in law, Nora Throckmorton (Charles); 4 great nieces; 3 great nephews; 1 great great nephew; girlfriend, Ms. Priss and 2 companions, KK and Luna.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ian Rigney officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 5 - 7 PM.
