Christine Jordan Pruitt

Mrs. Christine Jordan Pruitt of Roanoke Rapids, NC and formerly of South Boston, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the age of 86. She was born in Person County on May 4, 1934 to the late Edward Walter Jordan and the late Mary Briggs Jordan. Christine loved her husband and children. Her grandchildren were especially loved and her pride and joy. She was a wonderful cook and cooked many meals for her family. She was a member of Revelation Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir. Left to cherish her memories is sons, Raymond Edward Pruitt (Paige), and Steve Pruitt (Lynn) and daughter, Shirley Hudson and husband, Gary of Roanoke Rapids, NC; grandchildren, Raymond E. Pruitt, Jr (Ruth), Hannah Vignali, Raymond E. Hudson (April Lynn), Gregory L. Hudson (Mary Ellen), Matthew S. Pruitt, Christopher A. Pruitt, Brandon Pruitt (Chrissa), Jimmy W. Clements (Chelsea), Wayne Todd, Jr, Wesley Pruitt, and Ashley Irby (Joe); 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Moore and Janie Sue Perkins; and a brother, Waddell Jordan. In addition to her parents and her husband Raymond Pruitt, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Gary Lynn Hudson, Jr. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January, 2, 2021 at Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle with Reverend Norman Talley and Reverend Billy Coghill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1-2:00 at the church and at other times the home of Greg & Mary Ellen Hudson, 4025 Rogers Chapel Road, Clover.
