Christopher David "Chris" Deal

Mr. Christopher David "Chris" Deal of 2067 Link-Puryear Rd., South Boston, VA died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the age of 37. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on October, 26, 1975 to Jay Lee Deal and Violet Link Deal. Mr. Deal was a machinist for ABB and a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include his parents, Jay & Violet Deal South Boston; one son, Blake Deal of South Boston; one brother, Tony Deal & wife, Judy of Virgilina; his girlfriend, Amy Edwards of Efland, NC; 4 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Priscilla Jordan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM at True Light Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Sowder and Rev. Greg Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at True Light Baptist Church and at other times at the home of his parents, 2073 Link-Puryear Rd., South Boston, VA 24592.
