Christy Lynn Whitlow Bomar

Mrs. Christy Lynn Whitlow Bomar of South Boston passed away Thursday December 3, 2009 at the age of 54. Mrs. Bomar was born ini Halifax Co. on February 27, 1955 to the late Alfred Whitlow and Nelda L. Ingram and was married to the late Michael T. Bomar. She was a bus driver for the Halifax Co. School System and was a member of Olive Branch United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bomar is survived by her daughter, Cassidy B. Prevett and husband, Danny of Alton; a son, Michael Bomar of South Boston; mother, Nelda L. Ingram and husband, Ira of South Boston; brother, Wesley Whitlow of Alton; grandchildren, Hailey and Jules Prevett; nieces, Tammy C. Glenn and husband, Bill and Tyra C. Keene and husband, Kirby; great nieces, Jessica Speer, Bailey Kate Glenn, and Ellie Keene; and great nephew, Jack Speer. In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah W. Crews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 6 at 3:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Woodfin and Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Branch UMC cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Saturday night from 7 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home. Those wishing to give memorials are asked to please consider the Halifax Co.
