Cindy Wilson Hite

October 27, 1957 — October 16, 2012

Cindy Wilson Hite, 54 of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Tuck Wilson and her father, Lawrence Tisdale Wilson. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Dale Hite. She is also survived by her son, Lane Hite of Arlington, Va and her daughter, Brittany Hite a senior at Longwood University. Cindy was part of a large, loving family that included many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Cindy was a graduate of Bluestone High School and Southside VA Community College. She was employed by Key Construction Company for over 35 years and held a special bond with her co-workers. She served as a sponsor for the Mecklenburg Co. Junior Women's Association and as Chairman of the Clarksville Baptist Pre School. Cindy enjoyed being outside especially working in the yard and boating on Buggs Island Lake. Her greatest love however was her children and family. She spent much of her spare time attending her children's athletic events. From youth sports through collegiate sports, she attended every game possible, showing her support silently from the sidelines. There is no better way for a mother to show her love than through the support of her children. A celebration of Cindy's life will be held on Friday, October 19th at 2:00 pm at Clarksville Baptist Church. Interment will be immediately following at Oakhurst Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers; please consider donating to the Mecklenburg County Cancer Society, Mecklenburg County Rescue Squad, Clarksville Fire Department, or Clarksville Dixie Youth Baseball.
