Clara Lowery Puryear

Virgilina - Clara Lowery Puryear, wife of Thomas F. Puryear, Jr., passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020, at the age of 80. She was born in Person County, NC on February 14, 1940 to the late Edith Tuck Lowery and the late Clement Hayes Lowery, Sr. Clara worked with Burlington Industries in the mending department. She was a member at High View Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and enjoyed spending time with her church family. Clara Puryear is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Delores Honeycutt(Donald); son, Byron Puryear (Melanie); grandchildren, Kelly Honeycutt (Bryon), Derek Honeycutt (Becca), Ian Puryear; great grandchildren, Collin Shotwell, Emma Honeycutt, and Olivia Honeycutt. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 23 at 3 p.m. at High View Baptist Church with the Reverend Avery Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
