Clarence Melvin Elliott

Mr. Clarence Melvin Elliott, 76, died July 25, 2005 at his home. Born and reared in the Nelson community, he was the son of the late Johnnie James and Mary Hite Elliott. An Army veteran, he was a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator. Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Jim McAlister officiating. Burial will be in Nelson Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Elliott is survived by daughter, Lisa Edwards of Apex, NC and sons, Les and Jon Elliott, both of Reidsville, NC. Also surviving are sisters, Rose Whitt, and Patsie Parker of Richmond; Lillie Foster of Quinton; and brother, Jimmie Elliott of Richmond. The family will receive friends 7-9PM Wednesday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
