Clarence Wilfred Satterfield

Clarksville, VA Mr. Clarence Wilfred Satterfield, husband of Rebecca Glass Satterfield, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the age of 93.He was born in Halifax County, Virginia on August 30, 1924 to the late Mary Rottler and William Satterfield. Clarence retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He then worked as a Radcon Physical Science technician for 18 additional years before retiring from the federal government in 1983. He loved working with wood specifically cabinet making. Clarence dearly loved his family. He was a member of Clarksville Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Rebecca, he is survived by daughters Faye Gibbs (Floyd) of Poquoson and Donna Moore (Ken) of Carrollton; a son, Dan Satterfield (Pam) of Spring Grove; grandchildren Sherry Davenport (Roy), Jay Breedlove and Scott Satterfield and great grandchildren, Matthew and Brandon Davenport. Graveside services for Mr. Satterfield will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Oakhurst Cemetery with entombment in Eternity Mausoleum.The Reverend Dr. Gregory Randall will officiate.
