Clark David Daniel

Mr. Clark David Daniel, Sr. of 200 Leigh St., South Boston, VA died on Monday, August 20, 2012 at the age of 78. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on December 10, 1933 to the late W.H. Daniel and the late Janie Hallie Booth Daniel and married to the late Gladys Baylous Daniel. He was retired from the Maintenance Dept. at U.S. Plywood and was a member of Second Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy A. Daniel of Virgilina, VA; a son, Clark D. Daniel, Jr. and wife, Melissa of South Boston, VA; a sister, Marion Short and husband, Ryland of Nathalie, VA; a brother, Hudson Daniel of Wildwood, FL; five grandchildren, Dan Irby, Sara Daniel, Chance Daniel, McKenzie Daniel, and Lindsey Adams; three great grandchildren; and special friends, Marvin and Betty Clay. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Daniel. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Melissa for all the care given to our Dad during his illness. In his eyes she was like a daughter to him. A memorial service will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 7:00 PM with Rev. Don Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends at the home, 200 Leigh St., South Boston, VA.
