Cleo Rickman Anderson

NATHALIE - Mrs. Cleo Rickman Anderson of Nathalie passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at the age of 93. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on March 31, 1923 the daughter of the late George Vaughan Rickman and the late Minnie Fallen Rickman and was married to the late Dewey Hardie Anderson. Cleo was graduate of Clover High School and was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and financial secretary. She worked at J.P. Stevens for many years and was a member of Woodmen of the World Lodge #136. Mrs. Anderson is survived by a son, Steve H. Anderson and wife, Janet of Halifax; two granddaughters, Brooke Lantor and husband, Nathan of South Boston and Lauren Davis and husband, Brad of South Boston; and two great grandsons, Keegan and Kehler Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Archer Rickman and Loraine Rickman, and three sisters, Doris Francisco, Ruby Glass, and Jessie Rickman. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Hunting Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Sean McGuire and the Reverend William D. Mills, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 1 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at her home, 1034 Rickman Lane, Nathalie.
