Clyde Worth Seate of Clarksville, VA, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the age of 77. Born in Halifax County on January 14, 1946, he was the son of the late Otis and Edith Newton Seate and was married to the late Sally Bet Tuck Seate. Clyde was employed for more than 30 years with Burlington Industries. He enjoyed being outdoors, particularly fishing and mowing the lawn. He also was a skilled woodworker, welder, and electrician. Clyde loved all things mechanical and took great pride in restoring his antique ’71 Chevy pickup. He was a member of Nelson Baptist Church.
Clyde is survived by his daughters, Angela Cole of Mooresville, NC, and Tammy Jones (Mike) of Charlotte Courthouse; grandchildren, Specialist Jack Edward Cole, U.S. Army, Nicole Meek (Morgan), Eric Jones and Josh Jones; great-grandchildren Lydia Jane Meek and Audrey Claire Meek; siblings Irvine Seate (Charlotte) of Chase City and Madeline Lowery (Franklin) of Moreven, NC and nieces, Sharon Acree, Donna Adams, and Kay Harris. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Guy Seate.
Clyde's family will hold a Graveside Service at a later date.
