Dan Elliott, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in Virginia on July 1, 1953, Dan spent his life surrounded by the rolling hills and gracious community of his beloved home state.

Dan's journey through life was marked by his devotion to his family, his work, and his passions. As the owner and operator of El Sol Wood Works, Dan was renowned for his exceptional skill and artistry as a cabinet maker and builder. His creations remain a testament to his talent and dedication to craftsmanship.

A lifelong lover of knowledge, Dan was an avid reader, capable of devouring a book a day and retaining its wisdom. His intellectual curiosity was matched by his love for animals; he proudly raised German shepherds and shared a special bond with his cherished horse, Hali, who was by his side for over 30 years.

Dan's kitchen was a magical place where he unleashed his creativity as a cook, often spending hours perfecting dishes for his family and friends. His culinary talents were just one way he expressed his love for those closest to him.

In his personal life, Dan was a devoted family man. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Ginny Elliott; his children, Senecca Kirkhart (Jason), Leila Mancuso (Jeremy), and Quinn Elliott (Laura); and his grandchildren, Ethan Kirkhart, Elliott Kirkhart, and Lucy Rose Elliott. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Scott Kapinos (Laura), Christopher Kapinos, and Kelly Kapinos, and his sister, Kay Nichols (Paul). His mother, Rose Loftis Elliott, remains a pillar of strength for the family.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Harry "Butch" Byrd Elliott, and his faithful companion, Hali.
