Capt. Daniel Dylewsky, Jr., 79, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at home. He was born February 4, 1931 to Daniel and Anastasia Gulak Dylewsky in Stamford, CT. A graduate of Stamford High School with the Class of 1949, Mr. Dylewsky was a retired Captain with the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of the Elk and Moose lodges; the Waynesboro Antique Car Club, Kinderton Country Club and the VFW Post # 8163. Memorial services will be held at the VFW in Clarksville at 2PM Wednesday with Doug Bowen officiating. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Mr. Dylewsky is survived by his daughters, Holley Harbin of Big Bear, CA and Donna Lee Thompson of Apple Valley, CA; son, Daniel Dylewsky, III of Lancaster, CA; and sisters, Kay Niedoroda of New York, Helen Morrison of Carolina Shores, SC, and Ann Tymula of Stamford, CT. Also surviving are 4 grandsons, 1 great grandson, numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and newphews, and his ex-wife and very close friend, Opal Dylewsky.
