Darryl Allen Barker

SCOTTSBURG Darryl Allen Barker of Scottsburg passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the age of 62.He was born in Halifax County on June 13, 1959 to the late Robert Aldridge Barker, Sr and the late Mary Whitt Barker. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna Williams Barker. Darryl was employed with ABB and was a member of Fork Baptist Church.He loved woodworking and enjoyed working on 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. His music favorites were listening to the Eagles, Pink Floyd and classic rock. Darryl was a very devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Donna; his children, Christie Lewis (Kenny), Craig Barker (Amy) and Courtney Glass (Eric); grandchildren, Megan, Emma and Kaylie Lewis, Wyatt and Sadie Barker; brother, Bobby Barker (Vickie); sister, Brenda Barker; nieces and nephews, Robyn, Ashley, Whitney and Corey; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Williams and sister-in-law, Kathy Overstreet (Howard). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, C.B. Williams. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Oakland Cemetery in Scottsburg with Reverend Ken Warfield officiating.
