David D. Burkhart

David Burkhart of South Boston passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025  at the age of 78.  He was born in Ohio on July 11, 1946 to William and Dorothy Taft Burkhart and was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jean Farris Burkhart.

David was a past certified scuba diver instructor in St. Croix, Virgin Islands and also a truck driver by trade. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying duck hunting and fishing.  He also had a love of horses; he owned horses and rode as often as he could.

He is survived by his children, Lori Gray, Faith Giglio (Ralph) and Sarah Boswell (C.T.); 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and his constant furry companion, Hunter.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Burkhart.
