David Earl "Jake" Allred

NATHALIE Mr. David Earl “Jake” Allred, husband of Joyce Moorefield Allred, of Lennig Road, Nathalie, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at the age of 72. He was born in Halifax County on October 31, 1947 to the late Theodore Belt Allred and Josephine Crews Wright. Jake was retired from Old Dominion Insulation and was the union representative for the local #72. In addition to his wife, Joyce, he is survived by daughters, Renee Ridgeway and husband, Ricky of Nathalie, VA, Carla Sanford and husband, Randall of Alton, VA, and JoAnna Allred of Richmond, VA; brother, Ted Allred and wife, Linda of Mebane, NC; grandchildren, Bruce Anderson, Christian Smith, Jacob Sanford, Raegan Ridgeway, Caleb Sanford, Kennedi Crews and Eli Crews; step grandchild, Tanner Ridgeway and step great grandson, Laylo Ridgeway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Allred, Sr. A drive-by visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2020 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
