David Ryan Humphries

ALTON - Mr. David Ryan Humphries of Alton, VA passed away on March 7, 2020 at the age of 31. Born in Falls Church, VA. on May 6, 1988, he was the son of the late John Humphries, Jr. and Sandra Kennedy Humphries and was married to Maura Humphries. David was a driver and trainer for Swift Trucking Company. David was all about family and would do anything for anyone who he considered to be that. He was our fiercest protector. His absence will be felt hard constantly for the rest of our time here. He had found true happiness with Maura and that is the most tragic part about this. The best was yet to come. His happiness could be felt and it was a beautiful thing to see him that way. In addition to his wife, Maura, and his mother, Sandra, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Christiane Kennedy; his paternal grandmother, Emma Jean Humphries; brothers, Robbie Humphries, Joshua Humphries, and Michael Humphries; sisters, Alexandra Humphries and Keely Humphries and many other family members. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Brooks Lyon Betty B. Jones Chapel.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 3:00-4:00 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
