David Monroe Leslie

Clarksville, VA-- David Monroe Leslie, husband of Betsy Harp Leslie, passed away early on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the age of 83. Born in Bland County, VA, on December 14, 1938, he was the son of the late James and Janie Turner Leslie. David was a career steel worker and lifelong member of Iron Workers Local 28 in Richmond, VA. He worked on both the Empire State Building in New York and the Federal Reserve Building in Richmond, VA. He also raised and trained horses and was a farrier for many years. Always adventurous, David enjoyed bull riding and racing cars in his youth. In addition to his wife of 63 years, David is survived by sons, Sidney Leslie (Kristin) of Clarksville and David Michael Leslie of Doswell and a daughter, Pam Kissinger (Clarence) of Livingston, TX.David is further survived by his grandchildren; Corey Leslie, Kyle Leslie, Shannon Leslie, and Justin Leslie.
