David Bernard Wilmoth

CLOVER, VA Mr. David Bernard Wilmoth passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at the age of 78.Born in Halifax County, March 10, 1939, he was the son of the late John Tyree Wilmoth and the late Maggie Hardy Wilmoth and was married to Myrtle Anderson Wilmoth for 60 years.David was a family man, a farmer, of the Christian faith and loved his John Deere tractors and Angus cows. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle; children, David Anthony Wilmoth (Jill), Morris Dale Wilmoth (Cindy) and Angela Lynne Wilmoth; grandchildren, Mitzi Gunn (Matt), Traci Wilmoth, Amanda Lloyd (Brian), Jeremy Wilmoth (Deborah) and Nick Wilmoth (Allison); 12 Great Grandchildren; siblings, Alice Martin, Velma Phillips, and Elaine Petry. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Ann Cassada, Hodges Wilmoth and Kenneth Wilmoth. Funeral services for Mr. Wilmoth will be Monday, November 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Betty B. Jones Chapel with Reverend Sean McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in the Clover Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 6:00 – 7:30 PM and other time at the home, 1201 Blounts Crossing Trail, Clover, VA.
