Dean Laverne Miles

Clarksville, VA – Dean La Verne Miles, husband of Merium Simon Miles, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the age of 91. Born in Iowa on August 19, 1931, he was the son of the late Maurice and Delle Minor Miles. Dean was a United States Air Force veteran during the Korean War. After a successful career working at Aeronautical Radios he retired to the Clarksville community. Dean and his wife established the Virginia Avenue Mall & Lake Center. Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Merium; son, Arnold Miles (Linda) of Clarksville; daughter, Melinda Kendall of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Marisa Culver (Dennis) of Oakland, CA, and Chelsea Kendall (Andrew Geng) of Cambridge, MA and great grandchild, Erin Kemery of Olympia, WA. Dean was preceded in death by brothers, Gerald Miles, Wayne Miles, and Allan Miles and grandchild Deanna Miles. The family will hold private services.
