Deborah Crews Montgomery

Deborah "Debbie" Crews Montgomery of Halifax passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the age of 66. She was born in Halifax County on August 28, 1956 to Giles Thomas Crews and Elsie Mann Crews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Ray Montgomery.

Debbie was the General Manager of Hardee's and a very familiar face there. She loved being MeMe to her grandchildren. Debbie devoted her life to her family and God. She was a member of Winns Creek Baptist Church, but more recently attended True Light Baptist Church.

Debbie is survived by her son, Michael Ray Montgomery and wife, Crystal; daughter, Amanda Montgomery, and fiance, Justin of Chatham; grandchildren, Savannah and Sidney; siblings, Sandra Webber of Creedmoor, NC, Robin Butler, and husband, Phillip of Bumpass, NC, Tom Crews of Halifax and Barbara Cooper, and husband, David of Apex, NC.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Winns Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 6-8 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
