Delma Charles Sims

Delma Charles Sims, known to all as Chuck, of Clarksville passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the age of 79. Chuck was born in San Louis, California, on April 8, 1943, to the late Delma Wade Sims and the late Geneva Childress Sims. He was married to Judy Gatlin Sims, who survives.

Chuck was a graduate of Dominguez High School , Class of 1961. He furthered his education at West Coast University, Class of 1968, where he earned his BA Science degree in electrical engineering. He worked 31 years in the defense industry before moving to Clarksville in 1994. Chuck was an avid golfer at Kinderton County Club, fishing enthusiast, and a man of God.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy; sons, David Charles Sims (Michelle) of Jacksonville, FL and Richard Edward Sims of Clarksville, VA; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 2pm in Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel. They will receive friends and loved one's in visitation following the service. The service will be officiated by Reverend Jane Lyon.
