Dennis Ervin Burnette

Dennis Ervin Burnette, 56, husband of Betty Traylor Burnette, died Monday, May 14, 2007 in Henderson. A native of Wake County, Dennis was the son of Claude Ervin Burnette deceased and Virginia Marion Burnette Blackman of Burgaw, NC. A graduate of Enloe High School with the class of 1969, and a member of Stovall United Methodist Church, Dennis moved to Bullock from Raleigh in 1998. He was a contractor with Time Warner Cable for the past several years. Services will be 2PM Thursday at Stovall United Methodist Church with the Reverend John Yount officiating. In addition to his wife and mother, Dennis is survived by daughters, Kim Citty of Benson and Kelly Gentry of Raleigh; son, David Burnette of Greenville; sisters, Phyllis Burnette Jenkins of Clayton and Patricia Burnette King of Benson. Also surviving are two grandsons. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 1PM. Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
