Derek Brent Daniel

Mr. Derek Brent Daniel of Daniels Trail, Halifax, VA passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the age of 39.Born on August 24, 1977, he was the son of Lillian Crabtree Daniel and the late Harry Thomas Daniel and was married to Mandy Burton Daniel. He was a highway inspector with Quinn Consulting. In addition to his wife and mother, Derek is survived by his children, Drake Thomas Daniel, Eli Benjamin Daniel and Gabriella Grace Daniel; sisters, Linda Daniel (Dr. Tim Duncan) and Susan Reddy (David) both of Halifax; a brother, Thomas Arthur Daniel (Penny) of Martinsville, VA; a nephew, Daniel Reddy of Halifax; a niece, Alexandra Reddy of Halifax; and a number of other nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Derek’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2:00PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends after the celebration and other times at the home of Linda Daniel, 1147 Daniels Trail, Halifax. A private burial will take place at a later date.
