Donald Vincent Link

Mr. Donald Vincent Link of 1115 Newton Farm Rd., South Boston, VA died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the age of 55. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on August 25, 1955 to Myrtle Smith Link and the late Willard Link (passed away in January 1983) and was married to Sherry Pearson Link. Mr. Link was an employee of ABB. He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and attended Black Walnut Baptist Church. He shared his testimony through singing with The Harvesters Quartet and The Harmony Believers. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Pearson Link of South Boston, VA; a son, Edward L. "Eddie" Link of South Boston, VA; his mother, Myrtle Smith Link of South Boston, VA; and a sister, Claudia L. Fitts of South Boston, VA. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Link. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Black Walnut Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Wooten, Rev. Norman Talley, and Rev. Joe Trickey officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Black Walnut Baptist Church Tuesday night from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Halifax Co.
