Donald Gray Womack

Donald Gray Womack of South Boston passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the age of 72.  Born in Halifax County, VA on August 26, 1951, he was the son of the late Jeter and Thelma Bliss Womack.  He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Anne Wilborn Womack.

Donald worked with Century Link as a technician until retirement.  He loved fishing and golfing.  He loved the 70's music and won Battle of the Bands while being a member of Denniston Bank.  A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; son, Joey Womack; daughter, Lora Howell (Dustin); grandchildren, Seth & Edie Womack, McCoy & Cadence Howell, and grandpets, Emmy, Penny & Daisy; siblings, Larry Womack, twin brother, Billy Womack (Wanda), Linda Burke, Billie Jean Wolfe and Carolyn Smith; and numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Womack & Wayne Womack.

The family will receive friends at the home on Friday, August 9th from 6 PM - 8 PM and at any time anyone wants to stop by.

There will be a private graveside service at a later date.
