Donna Gormley Wendt

Mrs. Donna Gormley Wendt, 75, wife of Roy Wendt, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Donna was born December 26, 1934 to Patrick John and Agnes Condon Gormley in Minneapolis, MN. An airline stewardess early in her adult years, she later became a stay-at-home Mom to raise their three children. A memorial service will be 11 AM Saturday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Jane Lyon officiating. In addition to her husband of 51 years, Donna is survived by her daughters, Karen L. Wendt of Atlanta, GA; Jenni M. Wendt of Cary, NC; and son and daughter-in-law, Ted William and Kim Wendt of Greensboro, NC. Her granddaughter, Callie Wendt, and sisters, Aggie B. Merrill of Minneapolis, MN and Jackie Wojciak of St. Louis, MN also survive. The family will receive friends 7-9PM Friday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
